Frequently asked questions

1. Can hypnobirthing help if I feel anxious about birth?

Yes. Birth anxiety is incredibly common, and one of the key benefits of hypnobirthing is it will help you manage any anxiety, building self-belief with kindness and compassion. I teach practical tools that help you understand what’s happening in your body, feel calmer in the moment, and build confidence in your ability to cope.

2. Is your course suitable if I had a traumatic or difficult first birth?

Absolutely. Many parents come to me carrying fear, sadness or unresolved feelings from a previous birth. My approach is compassionate, validating and supportive. We look at what you need now, and how to prepare in a way that feels safer, clearer and more empowering this time, recognising each birth is different.

3. Will this course help me feel more in control of my birth?

Yes. Feeling “in control” isn’t about controlling birth, it’s about understanding your options, knowing what supports your body, and feeling confident making decisions that are right for you. That’s exactly what we focus on.

4. Do you teach partners how to support during labour?

Yes. Partners learn practical tools, advocacy skills and ways to support you emotionally and physically. It’s about helping them feel confident, involved and able to protect the space you need.

Definitely. Hypnobirthing is about calm, confidence and connection — all of which matter in every kind of birth. I offer dedicated caesarean resources, including a bespoke relaxation, that help you feel informed, supported and ready.
